Ace sport-scale assembly with this Gold Edition Axis fighter

Germany introduced the D-9 version of the famous Focke-Wulf 190 to the Luftwaffe in August, 1944. Although pilots of the "Dora-9" quickly mastered its capabilities, its arrival was too late to spare the Axis. In the closing months of the war the Fw 190D proved itself a match for any Allied fighter encountered in combat. Of nearly 700 built, only a few Fw 190 D-9s survive today, in museums, to carry on the legacy...but Top Flite returns this rare machine to the air with all of the advantages you expect from a Gold Edition sport scale kit.

Numerous building options and scale accessories let you take the Focke-Wulf's realism as far as you like. For example, the photo-illustrated instructions show how to create operational split flaps - which, when deployed, simulate the look of the full-size warbird's stamped metal.	The kit's CAD-engineered wood parts interlock perfectly for straight, strong assembly. Scale finishing is simplified by built-up, not vacuum-formed, wing fillets and a balsa-sheeted exterior.	Wide-stance landing gear supplies excellent ground handling characteristics. This kit includes heavy-duty, formed 3/16" wire landing gear - or you can add retracts for dramatic in-flight realism. Retracts custom-made for this kit are available from Century Jet Models (CJMQ3072).
